The Group will be led by Carolynn Aristone, MSW, LCSW, CST

Carolynn has been described as “compassionate, insightful, consummately trustworthy, calming.”  She attributes this feedback to her practices in mindfulness, meditation and personal growth.

Carolynn has practiced mindfulness, meditation and yoga over the last 20 years. She understands the conflict one can feel between committing to these healthy exercises and resisting them outright. She's been there too. Throughout that journey, she consistently finds herself coming back to these simple yet deeply profound practices with gratitude. It often feels like coming home.

Her personal practices and professional work have shown her how adapting a mindful lifestyle can help ease suffering, open one's heart to love, increase stress tolerance, decrease anxiety and strengthen resilience.  Ultimately she has seen how these practices help individuals and couples deepen connection and live more fully.

Carolynn has received a Certificate of Completion in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Training Program based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn. Carolynn has also completed 60 hours of Svaroopa Yoga Teacher Training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. After a three-year intensive training, Carolynn also received Certification from the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia, a relational therapeutic modality rooted in phenomenological, present-moment awareness, whole body experience, deep respect for the other and creativity.

In addition, Carolynn holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, NJ, Clinical Licensure in Social Work, Clinical Certification in Sex Therapy from the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and Certification in Clinical Social Work Supervision from the National Association of Social Workers. She is also an expert author for GoodTherapy.org.

When Carolynn isn’t working, she can be found strengthening her mindfulness and meditation practice. She also loves hiking with her spouse and two sons, attending high vibe music concerts, taking singing lessons and laughing…a lot!

In this course, we'll approach mindfulness in a way that addresses all of the common stumbling blocks, and you'll be free to share your specific concerns so we can troubleshoot them together.

  • Can mindfulness help me in my relationships?

Absolutely! Mindfulness can shift how you show up to both your relationship to yourself as well as your relationship to others, such as an intimate partner or family member. Mindfulness helps you strengthen your own inner resources so that you can meet the challenges that relationships naturally bring.
